Global Health Event 2015
A growing number of employers are offering benefits to attract talent, manage risk and improve productivity. But doing so requires them to mitigate major cost drivers, including chronic illnesses.
Sleep is a lynchpin in this challenge. It significantly impacts workers’ cognitive abilities and overall health. As deprivation decreases productivity, it also increases the prevalence of chronic diseases, and as a result, healthcare utilization and costs.
This year, our event brought together global sleep and employee wellness experts, including:
- Dr. François Duforez, founder of the European Sleep Center; and
- Dr. Leena Johns, MAXIS GBN’s Global Medical & Wellness Director,
- who discussed their research and how organizations can effectively address the medical costs driven by sleep deprivation.
Representatives of multinational companies and of major health actors also shared their experiences in implementing effective solutions in global organizations.
