AXA Poland targets strong growth in the Employee Benefits market with MAXIS GBN

AXA Poland, the country’s fifth-largest insurance group with more than three million customers, is capitalising on strong growth opportunities in the Polish market to expand its book of multinational clients and grow its broker-led employee benefits business. The firm is building on its established 10-year relationship with MAXIS Global Benefits Network (GBN) as well as the recruitment of three industry professionals with strong multinational experience to work more closely with local and global brokers and drive its growth ambitions.

MAXIS GBN, co-founded by MetLife and AXA in 1998, is one of the world’s leading international employee benefits networks providing global service capabilities and delivering world-class employee benefits perspectives and solutions to clients in 110 markets around the world. AXA Poland has been a member since 2007.

AXA Group entered the Polish market in 2006. It has continued to grow market share across more than 10 separate business lines from travel insurance to motor insurance, asset management to employee benefits. Last year, the business was named the fastest-growing insurance company in Poland for 2015. At the start of 2017, AXA Poland had a c.2% share of the domestic employee benefits market.

Among other market opportunities in Poland, the firm is looking to grow its multinational business and its relationship with multinational brokers. To meet this aspiration, AXA Poland has expanded its local employee benefits team with the addition of three highly experienced industry professionals, all of whom have extensive multinational experience and strong broker relationships. It will also look to MAXIS GBN’s comprehensive range of solutions, market knowledge and expertise in pooling and global programmes, including innovative approaches to pricing and data management, to help seize opportunities for growth.

Konrad Zakrzewski, Head of Group Insurance Department, AXA Poland, said: “For the last few years, we have created growth in group insurance through the delivery of new products, the development of sales networks and a well targeted value proposition for business partners. This year, we believe the time is right to expand our Employee Benefits business for multinational clients and further build cooperation with international brokers. In addition to appointing a new team and recruiting experienced individuals, we have developed the products and processes that international corporations require from their insurers. We are confident that this business line will develop and AXA Poland, as a MAXIS GBN member, will become the biggest player on the Polish market.”

Andrew Stocker, Head of Business Development, MAXIS Global Benefits Network said: ““We are delighted to support AXA Poland as it looks to capitalise on the momentum and aspirations it has to grow in the Polish employee benefits sector. At MAXIS GBN, we understand the importance of employee benefits to our member insurance firms and how such benefits can be a major differentiator for their clients. We continue to witness strong demand from multinational employers, for employee benefit solutions for in Poland. As a result, we look forward to partnering with AXA Poland and intermediaries, to solve for our customer’s needs.”
