London, 10 April 2017 – MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN), the international employee benefits joint venture between MetLife and AXA, has confirmed its new global leadership team as well as another exciting promotion.
It has recruited Jerome Picon as its Head of Finance & Operations and promoted Patsy Langridge to Global Director, Marketing & Communications. The two join CEO Mauro Dugulin; Andrew Stocker, Head of Business Development; and Matthias Helmbold, Head of Technical & Services, in forming the leadership team at MAXIS GBN. The promotion of Dr Leena Johns MD to Head of Health & Wellness is in addition to her role leading MetLife's Global Healthcare team.
The completion of the leadership structure is the final element of a major investment programme in staff, technology, branding and product development by MAXIS GBN as the organisation looks to capitalise on strong global demand for employee benefits solutions from multinationals.
In February, the organisation opened its new global headquarters in London and announced the launch of its new IT platform, BRIDGE. The technology will make MAXIS GBN the market leader in using data excellence to drive transparency, create detailed client reporting and help identify new global market opportunities. MAXIS GBN is the first network to offer ISO27001 certificate for data security. Building on the organisation’s near 20-year experience in the employee benefits market, MAXIS GBN is also expanding its range of solutions as it looks to offer the latest developments in pooling and global programmes, including innovative approaches to pricing and data management.
Mauro Dugulin, CEO of MAXIS Global Benefits Network said: “As MAXIS GBN looks to become the leading employee benefits network it is only right that we have the best management team in place. I’m delighted to be able to announce the appointment of Jerome, Patsy’s promotion to the leadership team and Leena’s promotion to Head of Health & Wellness. Each has the extensive experience and market knowledge needed to help us fulfil our growth aspirations in 2017 and our commitment to deliver the best service and products for our global member insurance firms and our mutual clients.”
Jerome Picon joins MAXIS GBN from AXA Bank Europe, where he had been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Board Member for its Hungarian Branch since August 2013. As well as leading the Finance & Operations functions at MAXIS, Jerome will head up the Member Management function with its aim of building ever closer partnerships with local insurers. Jerome’s previous roles include working at GIE AXA in Paris and BNP Paribas in London. At AXA Bank in Hungary, Jerome was leading, among others, the Finance, Compliance, Corporate legal and Risk Management teams during the restructuring of the Branch.
Patsy Langridge will lead MAXIS GBN’s Marketing & Communications function with a team based in London, Paris and New York. Her team works with the wider business to develop further the network’s profile, augment member and client experiences and help drive new business. Prior to joining MAXIS, Patsy held senior marketing positions in the asset management industry for BMO Global Asset Management, M&G Investments and HSBC Global Asset Management.
Dr Leena Johns MD is an expert on global health data analytics. Leena leads MetLife's Global Healthcare team and is Head of Health & Wellness for MAXIS GBN. In her prior role as Medical Director for MAXIS, she has been the architect behind its global reporting frameworks. She has also authored three health and wellness whitepapers that have been well received by clients, media and conference circuits.
Leena is an ER Physician by training and previously held the roles of Global Medical Director, Operations Manager and Medical Advisor for a number of leading insurers.
Mauro Dugulin, CEO of MAXIS Global Benefits Network said: “It is a truly exciting time for MAXIS GBN as we build on years of experience and momentum to create a leading, technologically advanced employee benefits network. We are forecasting strong growth in 2017 and increased market share in key countries as we win new clients, foster additional relationships with existing clients and employee benefit consultants, and continue to grow our global membership base of insurance firms.”
